Monarch Midwifery is a team comprised of Sam Beach-Hart and Brittany Walker. We offer home birth services for SW Washington. We look forward to serving you and your family!

Sam Beach-Hart, CPM, LM

Sam graduated from Birthingway College of Midwifery in Portland, Oregon in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Midwifery (BSM) and has been a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) since 2013.  She became a doula in 2006, but was initially brought to work in the birth community through her massage practice. She saw the amazing  benefits of massage throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and soon found herself attending births as a doula. She started attending home births in 2007. She is a Licensed midwife in the state of Washington and has attended over 400 births. She is now retired from massage after 17 years of practice, but loves to massage clients at births and prenatal visits.

She loves supporting families through this amazing rite of passage and her heart goes into bringing education and support to her clients. When she is not busy being a midwife you will find her by a river, quilting or hanging out with her family. (She/Her)

Brittany Walker, CPM, LM

Brittany first became interested in the birth world when she was invited to be a doula at her friend's birth. Even though she was a mom herself, witnessing another person give birth opened her eyes to a whole new world. From that moment on, she knew that this is what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Brittany grew up in Olympia, Washington and went to Western Washington University, graduating in 2009 with a BA degree in Business Management, with a focus in Marketing. She became a mom for the first time in 2011, and gave birth to her second child in 2014. After having her second child with a midwife, she knew that she wanted to focus on home birth with a biodynamic approach.

In 2015, Brittany completed her doula training at Birthingway College of Midwifery and in 2016 she started classes as a full time student midwife, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Midwifery in 2019. Brittany lives in Camas with her boyfriend, two children, and dog. (She/Her)

Kyra Marsico

Assistant Midwife

Kyra has been attending births for eight years as a doula, and two years as a student midwife. She is very close to getting her second Bachelor's degree from Birthingway College of Midwifery. Kyra’s first Bachelor degree is in Anthropology, where she focused on primatology and studied mother infant bonding and breast-feeding in different species of monkeys. She has a deep passion and understanding for evolutionary biology and is just fascinated by the extraordinary beauty of birth. (She/Her)
