Portia is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, and a Certified Reiki Practitioner. She received her massage certification from the Applied Kinesthetic Studies School of Massage in Herndon, VA in 2001. She studied Reiki (1, 2, and 3) from 2001 to 2004 both in Herndon, VA and in Wilmington, NC under Reiki master Pat Rice. Portia is an Insured Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association.

Throughout her career Portia has worked extensively with Nurses, Retirees, and members of the US National Skydiving Teams. Her knowledge of how the body moves and what each body needs stems from her own love of skydiving.
